- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Rub the turkey with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place onion, garlic, and herbs inside the turkey cavity.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and add chicken broth.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2 hours.
- Remove the foil and roast for an additional 1 hour, basting occasionally.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
