- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon salt

- 2 teaspoons garlic powder

- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1 lemon, quartered
- 1 onion, quartered
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, rosemary) for stuffing
Instrukcje
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Rub the softened butter all over the turkey.
- Season the turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
- Stuff the turkey cavity with lemon, onion, and fresh herbs.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth into the pan.
- Cover the turkey with aluminum foil for the first 2 hours of cooking.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, removing the foil during the last hour to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part of the breast.
- Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
