- 1 pre-baked pie crust
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instrukcje
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks. Slowly add a small amount of the hot mixture to temper the eggs.
- Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and heavy cream.
- Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then cool in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
