Instrukcje

  2. Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Gradually add the flour mixture and buttermilk, alternating between the two.
  8. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  11. Prepare the coconut pecan frosting and spread between layers and on top of the cake.
