  • 150g breadcrumbs
  • 100g self-raising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 50g melted butter

Instrukcje

  1. Soak the mixed dried fruit, currants, and sultanas in ale overnight.
  2. Preheat the steamer and prepare the pudding basin.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the soaked fruits, nuts, sugar, breadcrumbs, flour, eggs, mixed spice, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pudding basin.
  5. Cover with parchment paper and foil.
  6. Steam for about 6 hours, adding water as needed.
  7. Remove from the steamer and allow to cool.
  8. Store in a cool, dark place until ready to serve.
  9. Reheat by steaming for another 2 hours before serving.
  10. Serve with brandy sauce or cream.
