Traditional Christmas dessert made with dried fruits and spices.

- 200g mixed dried fruits
- 100g currants
- 100g sultanas
- 50g chopped nuts
- 150g breadcrumbs
- 100g brown sugar
- 2 tsp mixed spice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 100ml milk
- 50ml brandy
Instrukcje
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a large bowl, mix all the dried fruits, nuts, breadcrumbs, sugar, and spices.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and brandy together.
- Combine both mixtures and stir well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pudding basin.
- Cover with parchment paper and foil, securing with string.
- Place the basin in a pot of boiling water, ensuring the water reaches halfway up the sides.
- Steam for 2 hours, checking water levels occasionally.
- Allow to cool and store for a few days before serving.

- Serve with custard or cream.
- Can be made a week in advance.
- Reheat by steaming again before serving.
