Opis
A traditional Christmas dish featuring a roasted goose.

- 1 whole goose (about 10–12 lbs)
- 2 apples, quartered
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 cup of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instrukcje
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Clean the goose and pat it dry.
- Season the inside and outside with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the cavity with apples and onion.
- Rub the skin with olive oil, thyme, and rosemary.
- Place the goose on a rack in a roasting pan.
- Add water to the bottom of the pan.
- Roast for about 2 to 2.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let it rest for 15 minutes before carving.
