  • 1 cup lotus seed paste
  • 1/4 cup salted egg yolks (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instrukcje

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the flour, golden syrup, vegetable oil, and alkaline water in a bowl.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and cover it for 30 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls.
  5. Flatten each ball and place a spoonful of lotus seed paste in the center.
  6. If using, add a salted egg yolk on top of the paste.
  7. Wrap the dough around the filling and shape into a ball.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and gently press down.
  9. Brush the tops with water and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
