- 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 4 cups cornbread, cubed
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instrukcje
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Mix Cajun seasoning, butter, and garlic in a bowl.
- Rub the mixture under the turkey skin and all over the turkey.
- In a large pan, sauté onion, celery, and bell pepper until soft.
- Add cornbread, chicken broth, and parsley to the pan and mix well.
- Stuff the turkey with the cornbread mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour remaining broth around it.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, removing foil for the last 30 minutes.
- Let it rest for 20 minutes before carving.
